Dr. Jennifer Behm, VMD
Veterinarian
Dr. Jennifer Behm grew up in Westport, Connecticut. She received her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Biology as well as the honor of a Phi Beta Kappa Key, a distinguished academic society, from Bucknell University. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine earning her veterinary degree in 1989. Dr. Behm moved to Waynesburg that same year, and took the reins of Waynesburg Animal Hospital from Dr. Elmer Marx. Waynesburg Animal Hospital is home for Dr. Behm and her husband, Clay A. Behm from Jefferson and their three wonderful children- Lily, Will, and Ray. In addition to running Waynesburg Animal Hospital Dr. Behm is very involved in the Greene County community. She is actively engaged in helping the staff and animals at the Humane Society of Greene County. She and her associate veterinarians provide medical and surgical services and hold an annual Rabies clinic to benefit the Humane Society, donating 100% of the proceeds to them.
Dr. Behm is passionate about promoting good environmental stewardship and feels strongly about engaging youth in community service and leadership activities. She is a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 1280 in Waynesburg, a member of the Ralph K. Bell Bird Club, and the Warrior Trail Association.
Dr. Behm shares her love of animals and the career of veterinary medicine in participating annually in various Career and Enrichment Days at the Elementary and Middle Schools. Dr. Behm is an advocate of healthy, active lifestyles for children and regularly sponsors youth soccer teams and supports the Bowlby Library.
